This is a very special unit because this is one of the world's first chess computers available for consumers! Working well, sensors and sound tested. Some Sensors need to be activated by touching it with a figure hold in an angle. This is due to the production of this early sensors. The Chess computer is in great condition and nearly unused, all figures are included - also in MINT condition. If you are a collector of rare chess computers of the last century - this is one of your great chances! Don´t miss it.

The Fidelity Sensory Chess Challenger is a fully functioning computerized chess player. It has infinite levels of play. All pieces are intact and complete with magnet. This machine senses your moves with a pressure sensitive playing surface and announces its moves both by sound and by lighting the squares it wants to move to and from. You can play directly against the computer or you can recreate one of the 64 greatest games ever played.

One feature I like on this unit that even some modern ones don't have is the ability to turn off the beep or it can be set to signal only the computer's move. It thinks on the opponent's time. Hint feature and a book practice mode where it will play any line in the book, not just the good ones. This was a very important machine because of its strength.

Fidelity Chess Challenger Sensory. Der Schachcomputer ist getestet und kommt mit dem englischen Manual und allen Spielfiguren (inclusive allen Boden-Magneten). Das Gerät befindet sich in einem sehr guten Zustand, es gibt kaum Benutzungsspuren. Auch die original Spielfiguren scheinen fast ungenutzt. Beinhaltet auch das original Netzteil von Fidelity in OVP. Der Zustand läßt vermuten das es ein, zwei mal auf einem Tisch stand und dann im Schrank verschwand. Sehen Sie die Photos.

Dieses Gerät war für die damalige Zeit ein echtes Aushängeschild. Hier waren sowohl die Spielstärke als auch der Spielkomfort schon recht ansprechend. Die Sensoren sind, wie bei den meisten alten Fidelity Computern, mit einer schräg gehaltenen Spielfigur zu aktivieren. Dies hat aber mit der Produktionsweise der ersten Sensoren zu tun. Ein sehr seltener Schachcomputer der ersten Stunde, das gleiche Model wurde bei eBay im Februar 2005 für $387 verkauft.
