Question How many Apple I where sold ?

I found this infomation about this question at
http://www.old-computers.com/history/detail.asp?n=35&t=3

Quote:
The Apple 1 production is stopped ten months after its introduction. 175 Apple 1 kits had been sold for $549 each to only one customer, Paul Terrell, manager of the Byte Shop chain, who sold them for $666.

Next to me hangs a copy of an early price list by Steven Jobs,
offering the Apple I to Richard Hernland of Electro-Tex, Houston for $ 500,
the Cassete Interface for $56.25 (Retail price= $ 75),
and additionam 4k RAM for $ 80 (Retail price= $ 120)

The wholesale price was for quantities of 10-24, for first time dealers for quanteties of 5 or more.

Question Does someone know more ? Wink Please use the "Post Reply" Button to add a comment.

I also heared about 200 -

at http://oldcomputers.net/applei.html

you can read:

Quote:
About 200 Apple I computers were made in total. Excited by their success, Woz went on to design the Apple II, which was release one year after the Apple I.

Have a look to my Apple I pictures in the Gallery
