Board » Snood - v 2.0

Snood is a puzzle game which emphasizes thought rather than reflexes.  Your goal is to remove the Snoods from the playfield by launching other Snoods up at them.  You can do this in two ways:  (1) Transporting Snoods --Matching up three or more Snoods of the same type allows them to transport away, and (2) Dropping Snoods -- if after a Snood transport some Snoods are no longer connected to the top of the playfield, they will drop to safety.

Snood has no time limits, allows you to play at your own pace, is non-violent and non-confrontational, and has a variety of difficulty levels, including one for children.

1 INTRODUCTION:
Thank you for trying Snood!   A complete description of game play and features (with pictures) is included in the documentation inside the program (see the Help Menu).  The Cool New Stuff section describes some of the main changes in version 2.0 of Snood.  The Snood Notes section below explains some features of the game.  The Registration section explains how to pay for Snood.  The Changes section details the evolution of the program since the original release (1.0).  You should also read through the License Agreement at the end of this document.

3 COOL NEW STUFF:
• Puzzle Levels:  Now there's a new way to play.  Fifty carefully designed Snood layouts will challenge your talents.  Play progresses from level to level until you lose, so you can rack up a lot of points.  Registered users can also load and play new Puzzle level sets designed with the SnoodEdit program.
• Player Records:  Is somebody in your house much better at Snood than you, so you never get high scores?  Or does somebody worse than you mess up your good win/loss statistics?  Now you can keep track of your own personal statistics.  Pick a player record from the "Player" menu and your games will be recorded.
• Tournaments:  Now registered users of Snood can play official Snood tournaments!  Pick two to four players and 1-6 rounds.  Each round, each player will get the same arrangement of Snoods and the same order of Snoods in the launcher, so you only have your skill to rely on.  Tournament win/loss records are stored in the Player Records (see above).
