After replacing the motherboard the Mac is back to normal! The motherboard AND the harddrive where defect. I have replaced the HD with a 40 MB HD from a Mac LC. Now I need to disamble te complete Mac because the Floppy drive case part has fallen into the Mac. You can´t get it back in place without removing the CRT...

Does anyone knows this chess game is caused by the motherboard or the analog board?
I was lucky to get a new analog board for the SE - in Apple Service Box :-)
But I am not sure its the analog board ot the logic board... I will try to swap the motherboard first.
